ABOUT RUSTIC RIDGE LABRADORS
Rustic Ridge Labradors story begins in 2001 when we adopted our first English Chocolate Labrador, Rusty, (pictured here on our camping trip) from Betty Baker at Liberty Creek Labradors. We adopted him when our son was two so they could grow up together. We Co-owned Rusty with Betty. She had hopes he would grow up and compete in the show ring. But as all breeders know it's difficult to get that perfect show dog your first time around! Rusty had a higher calling and that was to teach us what a perfect, well tempered Labrador Retriever companion was. I could have never guessed what a forever friend he would be to our son even as a young puppy. Rusty was with us for a wonderful eleven years and he was a special boy to all that got the privilege to meet him. Because of Rusty we fell in love with the English Chocolate Labrador breed. From there our journey began. We acquired our second English Chocolate Labrador, Liberty Creek Southern Belle and started traveling the countryside competing in dog shows and meeting lots of wonderful people with the same love for our breed. Our labs are cherished members of our family and we include them in all aspects of our life. We are so fortunate to do what we love and be with the people and pets we care about everyday. Life has been good to us! We seldom attend shows these days due to family needs and the time that is required to take care of our chocolate labs as well as our occasional litters of chocolate lab puppies. However we continue to show our labs thanks to our wonderful handler. We continued to maintain our superior breeding program and many champions have come from our lines. Liberty Creek Southern Belle went on to Produce Ch Liberty Creek Sound of Silence in the early years, and many have followed suit since. We will always be grateful to Betty Baker of Liberty Creek Labs.
Our success in breeding well tempered Chocolate Labrador Retriever Puppy companions has helped the word spread across the United States and internationally. Many of our puppies are adopted after careful screening to other areas of the country and to some international locations. Here you'll find a list of all the states and countries where our puppies have joined their new families. Puppy Locations.
