November 15, 2019 Liberty Creek Rustic Ridge Stella is ready to drive on our trip to Ohio. We visited Troy Animal Hospital to get Fiona’s final Hip and Elbow X-rays. That finalizes all of her testing. All of our labs must pass with flying colors on their hips, elbows, eyes, heart, and 17 different DNA tests before they enter our breeding program.

November 6, 2019 We got my husband Joe, squeezed in the bed and 5 chocolate labs, now to find my spot!😂 It’s not a good night unless you have lots of chocolate labs to snuggle with!

July 1, 2019 This picture is several months old, but I love it. This is how we go to bed each night! We rotate 4-5 dogs on a regular basis so we get to spend quality time and snuggle with each of them. They don’t share well that’s for sure. All of our dogs are raised in the house and crate trained until they are a year old. Then they rotate from the kennel to the house. I will have them all inside one day. I keep sneaking one more past my husband every night. He’s never sure how many Chocolate Labs he’ll wake up to!

June 23, 2019 Good friends and fellow breeders, Janet and Jr. Saunders, came up to pick up their newest edition. We both very selectively breed. First and foremost is for that amazing Labrador Temperament as well as health and type. We do extensive testing to help insure we are breeding the healthiest puppies possible.

June 8, 2019 Two of our Rustic Ridge Puppies, Apex and Ziggy, taking it easy this weekend hanging out in the pool. We love to get updates from our families and watch our puppies grow up! It’s such an honor when our families return to Rustic Ridge Labradors for a new addition! One lab is never enough!🐾💞

May 31, 2019 Our beautiful Shelby turns 14 later this month. She’s in great shape and good health. We feel so fortunate that she continues to enjoy a happy, healthy life! We start at age 8 having twice yearly health check ups and Senior Blood Work done to insure if a problem arises we can catch it early! She’s always passes all of her tests with flying colors!❤️

This group was ready for food! Each litter varies when they start on food in addition to nursing from momma. Very large litters start food when they can stand on their own, which is around 2 1/2 - 3 weeks. Smaller litters typically start food at 3 1/2 to 4 weeks. Momma’s nurse puppies as long as they want! Puppy teeth come in at 3-4 weeks. Some moms are done with nursing when puppy teeth come in, others will nurse until 7 weeks. That’s when we wean the puppies in preparation for going home to their new families!

May 22, 2019 Pile of 3 week old puppies! Their ears and eyes opened this past week. They are all up walking now. At this age we start introducing them to new sounds that they may experience someday with their families. They are playing with each other and starting to growl and bark as well as play with toys. Fun times ahead! I love this age!

This group of girls is completely unfazed when it comes to dinner time! We are a well oiled machine most of the time, with sprinkles of chaos occasionally!
